Offering fun for all the family, the Capel Military Show will take place at Aldhurst Farm, Capel in Surrey on Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd July 2023 for its 10th show.
The Show is set to be bigger, better and more action-packed than ever before with more of everything you love. Tanks, cars being crushed, big guns being fired, explosive battles being fought, a unique tug of war and a host of visiting aircraft including the *RAF Chinook.
Set over five event fields is a variety of military exhibitors from the south of England including over 400 vehicles and the best of British, German, Russian and American re-enactment groups. Ranging from the Second World War right though to modern day, the Show will transport you back in time and take you on a journey through military history. It’s not just about vehicles and troops though, the land army are back with their farm display complete with cows!
The Arena fun starts at 10:00 and doesn’t stop until 16:00. Packed with parades of light vehicles, tracks and armour, two battle re-enactments, car crushing and naval gun firing, the Show also has its very special ‘East Meets West’ tug of war. This is no ordinary tug of war, but a contest of might between two tanks, a Russian OT90 and British-built 432., both fighting to capture the biggest share of a car. The winner is whoever comes away with the biggest chunk of steel.
The main helicopter field plays host to static displays which include the *RAF Chinook, Apache Attack Helicopter, *Westland *Alouette, *Gazelle and *Wasp and Historic Helicopters including the *Whirlwind, *Wessex and *Sea King (*all subject to operational commitments).

Here are just a few comments from those who have attended...
Great staff, great show, great experience... Believe me when I say that my boy and I have tried it all. This is right up there at the top of the list !!! My ONLY disappointment is the fact I hadn't heard of this show sooner !!! Roll on summer 2023.
It was my first visit this year and it exceeded all my expectations. You have built an excellent team and your vision of the event and how it should be run is reflected in them. I'm already looking forward to next year's event. Well done everyone involved.
Your staff were absolutely amazing and very helpful we had a great weekend. We will definitely be coming again next year.
This was our second year and I didn’t think it could get better than last year but you all nailed it again and more. Your team are always helpful and welcoming. Look forward to the next one.
Thank you to all involved. We had a great time again this year. Really enjoyed the woodland area and my son loved being able to handle and talk about the weapons. Amazing show and we’ll be back next year!
Wow! That's all I can say. I've been coming since 2019 and it has grown year on year. The attendance by military vehicles and groups doubles every year. The hard work by the Capel team is amazing and unbeatable. Thank you and see you all next year!
Absolutely brilliant show. We had a wonderful time and appreciate the incredible amount of hard work that went into putting this amazing show on!! The best as far as I am concerned. Organised to perfection.
Thank you for all the new arrangements which minimised disruption for those of us in Vicarage Lane. A really good plan and aided by so many wonderful volunteers who got the cars parked! Well done on a terrific show!
My 1st time to this show and it was not a disappointment absolutely loved it from the machines to the battle’s something for everyone I will most definitely be back next year.
Saturday was a special day and I am so grateful to you for the invitation and for selecting The Not Forgotten as the charity for the Show. I was very impressed by the size of the Show and by the organisation behind it all and I would be grateful if you could please pass on my thanks to your committee.
I just wanted to email to thank you for the wonderful day our Year 6 pupils had on Friday. The event was so well organised and the day was perfect. The children learnt so much from the different exhibitors, who shared an incredible wealth of historical information with them. There was a brilliant balance between knowledge sharing, history and being able to 'have a go' with clothing and weapons.
