With only six weeks to go, the team are in full swing and working hard to bring you what promises to be the best show yet. A huge amount of effort ensures we give you the best show we can.
The website bookings are still coming in and we have almost 50 Living History and Reenactment groups booked in and the areas are nearly full. Same for the vehicle exhibitors with over 250 awesome vehicles confirmed at this relatively early stage and between them that will see over 500 amazing vehicles from the Boer War to the present day. A special welcome to those joining us for the first time.
The trade stands sold out within weeks and we have a great selection of traders booked in. Lots of exciting big toys and we are very excited to announce that building on the success from last year with an incredible four WW2 Sherman tanks at one show, this year we have gone further and we can confirm we have 6 of these incredible machines joining us with an unprecedented number 7 just firming up. These will be joined by other rare WW2 vehicles including an M4 and M5 high-speed gun tractor and the mighty M10 Achilles tank destroyer.
The helicopter field is looking great with 18 Squadron bringing the Chinook in and we are hopeful the Apache will be back with us. They will share the field with our regulars including the Gazzelles, Allouette, Westland Wasp and we are super excited that the latest addition to the show circuit the incredible Lynx Mk7 will be coming in.
The British Army Reserve units will be with us again, eager to interact with the public and show off their kit with PWRR Infantry, Royal Engineers, Royal Logistics Corps, Royal Artillery and Royal Military Police in the line-up.
To keep you entertained during the day we have the Surrey Jive dance troop back with us.
As we head into the evenings, we are pleased to announce the bar will be open on Thursday evening with live music and on Friday we have the ever-popular karaoke and disco. We are delighted to be joined by the stunning Anita Harris who will open the Saturday night’s entertainments before we release the incredible Mad Hatters Tea party onto the stage.
Online sales for advance tickets are doing really well, a first for this year. And the civilian campsite is already over half full.
