BBQ – away from vehicles
BBQ’s only when adequate fire-fighting equipment is available. It is suggested that all vehicles carry a current working fire extinguisher.
It is the vehicle owners responsibility that on arrival and setup they identify the fire points which are clearly marked around the CVMShow ground.
What’s to see
As well as the exciting arena based activities and entertainments area, outside of the arena there are some 300+ex-military vehicles being exhibited as well as a large number and variety of living history groups spanning a wide range of periods throughout history.
This year we have our largest ever range of trade and charity stands providing an interesting variety of merchandise and entertainment for all. And of course, the tombola providing the chance to win some exciting prizes.
The Safety bit
As with all shows of this nature we aim to balance the excitement with essential safety. There will be vehicles both tracked and wheeled moving around the site. Some of these have limited visibility so please do not assume they have seen you.
please comply with any instructions issued by the Marshall’s or show staff, we want you to go home safe and eager to come back next year. During the Arena events and battle re-enactments there will be loud bangs and flashes so for those of a nervous disposition then you might be at the wrong event, you wanted it bigger, louder and more exciting and we have listened and tried to give you what you asked for! In addition to the arena activities there area large number of military vehicles and living history groups on display and they love to chat.
Please engage them and they will happily explain the history and purpose of the vehicles.
We hope that you and your family enjoy the event and we would welcome any suggestions as to how we may improve future shows as we continue grow the event.
Please spread the word and invite your friends and family to join us. We value your help and support in growing this event and enabling us to continue to raise these essential funds on behalf of our supported charities and local community projects.
As you leave after what has hopefully been a great day out, please could we ask you to respect our local neighbours as our event relies heavily on the good will of the local residents.
Thank you and a safe journey home. The dates for next year’s show are the 4th and 5th July 2020. We look forward to seeing you in 2020.
